If you’ve ever been, or currently are responsible for getting new clients on board, you probably know it’s not exactly a walk in the park, it takes time, determination, wine and a combination of strategic and tactical approaches to get it right.

One tactic that does work is a well-written email with a punchy subject line that gets opened and content that engages people on an emotional level yet has a rational reason to continue to read it, and the proof is in the pudding, the results I get on the back of emails just like this one. All but 4 of the clients I currently work with have come directly to me, and in 12 months of setting up Wayout I’m yet to make a cold call to generate meetings for new business.

Only the other week I was reminded that the reason I was sitting in the boardroom with the agency owners, was because of the emails I send.

You don’t need to appeal to everyone, you need to appeal to like-minded people that are most likely to work with you.
